Biography

Kori Cook graduated from Pacific Union College with her BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education. In 2013 she graduated with her Master’s in Reading from Webster University. After graduating college in 2001 she taught at Louisville Jr. Academy in Louisville, KY for 4 years in a multi-grade classroom. In 2005 she moved to St. Louis and had the opportunity to be a substitute teacher in several area school districts. Through the years of being a substitute teaching she had the opportunity to teach and be introduced to different types of curriculum, classroom communities and teaching styles. Having attended a multi-grade SDA elementary school, Kori enjoys teaching in a place where she has the opportunity to teach students about God’s love. She also looks forward to experiencing the joys of teaching, to witness the power of learning and the fun challenges it can present.

Biography

Ashton McMillen grew up on a farm near Springfield, Missouri. The oldest of five children, she knew she wanted to become a teacher from the time she was in first grade when she would rush home from school to make her younger brothers listen to everything she had learned that day. She is a fourth-generation member of the Springfield Seventh-day Adventist Church and attended the local SDA school from kindergarten to tenth grade. After finishing high school, she attended Southern Adventist University from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is thrilled to be returning to the Iowa-Missouri conference as the new 3-5 grade teacher at Hillcrest this year!"

Biography

Eunbyul Coridan graduated from Sahmyook Adventist University in Seoul, South Korea, with a degree in early childhood education. After teaching one year in Korea, Eunbyul spent the next 6 years in the Middle East, where she served as a missionary teacher and assisted in the Mural Project. Eunbyul had the opportunity to work with students in different areas of their learning. From a young age, Eunbyul knew that she wanted to be a teacher. As she has gained experience in various classroom settings and with students of diverse backgrounds, educational needs, and family situations, that calling has grown in her heart. She loves kids of all ages and has a heart for working with them. Eunbyul loves seeing the look of joy when a student gains a new skill and helping kids find ways to overcome fears in regard to learning. But most of all, Eunbyul loves helping kids grow in their friendship with Jesus, and discover joy in service to others.
